A Quick Label Check
Gluten-free does not automatically mean nut-free: some gluten-free snacks use almond or other nut flours. Wheat-free also does not automatically mean gluten-free, because barley and rye contain gluten. For celiac disease, select products with an explicit gluten-free label and follow your clinician’s advice about oats. A free-from ingredient claim is different from a dedicated facility claim; contact the manufacturer if the facility information needed for your family is unclear.
